Membership fees are the backbone of the Munich Maker Lab. They cover our rent, keep our tools and equipment running and make it possible to host workshops and events every week. As a member, you get 24/7 key access to the space – and you directly support a community where makers, tinkerers and beginners help each other grow.
For more details about our mission and current membership fees, see our statutes and scale of fees.
Becoming a member of Munich Maker Lab is straightforward. Here’s a quick overview of how it works – from your first visit to getting your own key.
Your Path to Membership
Visit us on an Open Thursday – Come by, have a look at the space and tools and meet the community. We’ll show you around and give you a tour.
Apply for membership – If you’d like to join, fill out the membership form and send it digitally to the email address on the form. Instructions on how to sign it digitally can be found here
Wait for confirmation – You’ll receive an email once your application has been processed. In the meantime, you can already use the space during open hours. Feel free to also join our community chat at chat.munichmakerlab.de.
Complete the onboarding – Attending an onboarding session is required to get a key. Check our Onboarding wiki page for all the details on dates and what to expect.
Book tool introductions – To use equipment like the CNC router, laser cutter, 3D printers or larger workshop machines (table saw, mitre saw, etc.), you’ll need to complete a short introduction course. These can be booked at tickets.munichmakerlab.de.
Welcome to the Munich Maker Lab! – You’re now an official member of our community. We can’t wait to see what you’ll make.
For full details on the membership and onboarding process, visit our Onboarding wiki page.
